Jacqueline J. Kinloch
Jacqueline J. Kinloch is a certified image consultant who resides in Sugar Land, Texas with her husband Leon. She is a graduate of the University of Houston, with a bachelor’s degree in health and minors in biology and psychology. Ms. Kinloch, a former educator for Houston area public schools, teaches others about the importance of grooming, etiquette, and overall appearances. Ms.Kinloch also stresses the importance of positive attitude, professionalism, and handling yourself with poise. Ms. Kinloch conducts seminars on wellness and business etiquette for local schools, corporations and women’s organizations. She has recently co- authored a book titled The Young Woman’s Guide for Personal Success. She also donates her time to local charities throughout the Houston area. Ms. Kinloch, who believes in giving back to the community, is Executive Director and founder of Ready Women Inc.
Deidre Boone is business professional with years of experience in the corporate arena and is currently a Director for a major corporation. She is the former co-founder and co-owner of The Root of You LLC that was located in the West University neighborhood in Houston, Texas. The Root of You was the first African-American owned Spa, Salon and Retail store that catered to an exclusive niche clientele in an upscale environment. She has received several business awards and has been featured in magazines such as Upscale, I-10 media, Essence, Rolling Out, Onyx etc. She has held several other board positions for non-profit organizations and served on The Board of Director’s for the Houston Area Urban League for 5 years. She is a graduate of University, California in Los Angeles and has received numerous merit and scholarship awards. She has a passion for helping people and is honored to be a board member of Ready Women.
Readell Washington serves as the Treasurer of Ready Women, Inc. She has worked for the Texas State Comptroller of Public Accounts for 23 years. She is a Certified Public Accountant. She earned both her Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems and Bachelor of Accountancy from University of Houston. She is an alumni member of C.T. Bauer College of Business.
Readell is committed to serving mothers and children to further their education and social atmosphere for the betterment of themselves. Readell has served as a board member on other nonprofit mothers and children organizations. She has also served on the finance committee for her church. Readell says that one of the reasons she serves on the board of Ready Women, Inc. is so that a young lady could be afforded the same opportunity for an education for which she has been so blessed to have obtained. Readell and her family has resided in the Spring/Tomball area since 1991.
Keryl L. Douglas, Esq.
Keryl L. Douglas, Ready Women President and General Counsel. Keryl Douglas, avid volunteer, journalist/writer, and attorney in private practice, graduated summa cum laude in the top 2.5% of her class from Thurgood Marshall School of Law with standing of #5 out of 202 students in May 2008. She passed the Bar upon first attempt and is admitted to State of Texas Bar, the Federal Bar, and the U.S. Supreme Court. Founder and owner of Advancing America and Optimum Solutions Consulting, she’s experienced in public affairs, political empowerment/voter mobilization strategies, fund development, community development, mediation, advocacy, writing, public speaking, poise/etiquette coaching/pageant training, business development, imaging/branding, project development, multiple areas of law, including Business, Family, Probate, Employment, Entertainment. Douglas received her M.S. in Chemistry, magna cum laude (Texas Southern University), B.S. in Biology, cum laude (Florida A&M University), and completed Ph.D. coursework in Epidemiology (University of Texas – HSC). She was instructor and administrator at TSU and HCC. She’s a member of numerous legal and community organizations, General Counsel for Friends of Emancipation Park Board and Ready Women, Inc., where she also serves as President. She has one child, James Matthew Douglas II. An avid reader, volunteer, nature and health enthusiast, she credits her drive and enthusiasm for life to God, parents Johnnie M. and Rudolph Burgess, late stepdad Otis Hill, son Matthew, siblings, and the many friends who pray for, inspire, and encourage her daily.
