Jacqueline J. Kinloch
Director
Jacqueline J. Kinloch is a certified image consultant who resides in Sugar Land Texas with her husband Leon. She is a graduate of the University OF Houston, with a bachelor's degree in health and minors in biology and psychology.
Ms. Kinloch, a former educator, teaches others about the importance of grooming, etiquette, and overall appearances.
Ms.Kinloch also stresses the importance of positive attitude, professionalism, and handling yourself with poise. Ms. Kinloch conducts seminars on wellness and business etiquette for local schools, corporations and women's organizations. She has recently co- authored a book titled The Young Woman's Guide for Personal Success.
She also donates her time to local charities throughout the Houston area. Ms. Kinloch, who believes in giving back to the community, is Executive Director and founder of Ready Women Inc.

Readell Washington
Treasurer
Readell Washington is a certified publicaccountant. She has been employed with the Texas State Comptroller of Public Accounts for 13 years.
She is a graduate of University of Houston with a Bachelor of Accountancy and a BBA in Management Information System. She is a native Texan and resides in Tomball with her husband and two children.

Keryl L. Douglas, Esq.
Chair - Board of Directors
Attorney Keryl Douglas graduated summa cum laude, with a standing of #5 out of her class of 202 students, from Thurgood Marshall School of Law; passing the Bar Exam upon first attempt. She currently serves as Director of Intergovernmental Affairs for the Houston Housing Authority. An accomplished mediator and Attorney, she is also a legal journalist and analyst; writing a weekly column for the Houston Sun Newspaper, and frequent legal/political analyst for a local radio program. She received her M.S. in Chemistry, magna cum laude, from Texas Southern University, her B.S. in Biology, cum laude, from Florida A&M University, and completed coursework for a Ph.D. in Epidemiology at University of Texas Health Science Center. Her diverse professional experience includes Regional Director for the NAACP’s Region VI and Executive Director of NAACP-Houston where significantly increased membership, advocacy, funding, volunteerism, positive public imaging, staffing, and grant-supported programs; college professor of chemistry and biology; and university administrator. Attorney Douglas has one son, James Matthew Douglas II, and is a member of numerous legal and community organizations. She is an avid reader, volunteer, fitness, arts and nature enthusiast.

Deidre Boone
Vice-President
Deidre Boone is the co-owner of The Root of You , a premier, urban, upscale Salon & Day Spa nestled in the heart of West University in Houston, TX.
Deidre had both a desire and a passion to design a Salon & Day Spa for women of color. Deidre’s role in her business is the Master Marketing, Advertising, Branding & Creative extraordinary whom has been able to mass market The Root of You to the Houston African-American community where it has become a household name and has been recognized by both national (Essence, Instyle etc.) & local magazines.
In her community Deidre serves on the Board of Directors for the Houston Urban League and has received several awards in recognition of business achievement for The Root of You.

Leslie A. Taylor
Secretary
Leslie Taylor is a Director of International & State Affairs for Continental Airlines based in Houston, Texas. She is responsible for managing state and local government relations for the airline throughout the U.S. and Latin America.
She has been active in politics and government for over a decade, directing state legislative political campaigns prior to serving as the chief legislative aide to the Speaker of the House.
Leslie is a recent graduate of University of Texas’ Global Leadership Executive MBA Program and has a B.A. from Rutgers University. She has volunteered with numerous civic organizations and is a member of Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church. Leslie serves on the Board of Ready Women, Inc. and Child Advocates. |
